ROYAL VISIT TO COWES DURING SUPERYACHT CUP COWES
Buckingham Palace has confirmed Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will visit Cowes on Wednesday 25th July as one of a number of Royal engagements in the South East of England in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The Queen’s visit to the Island falls on the final day of the Superyacht Cup Cowes and plans are in place to organise a spectacular parade of sail including the Superyacht Cup fleet to welcome the Queen to the island. |

SUPERYACHT OWNERS INVITED TO JOIN CLIPPER ROUND THE WORLD RACE FINALE ON 22 JULY IN SOLENT
Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and the Directors of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race have invited owners of yachts competing in the Superyacht Cup Cowes to join the Clipper fleet parade on the Solent on Sunday 22 July 2012 to mark the end of the round the world race. Hundreds of yachts are expected to join the fleet which will arrive up Southampton Water to Ocean Village with air displays overhead. SAIL 4 CANCER SELECTED AS OFFICIAL CHARITY FOR SUPERYACHT CUP COWES
Cancer respite and sailing charity, Sail 4 Cancer, has been selected as Official Charity for the Superyacht Cup Cowes regatta. Since 2001, the charity has provided sailing based respite opportunities for more than 2000 cancer patients and their families affected by cancer. LAST FEW PLACES REMAINING AT ‘MUELLE VIEJO’ - PALMA Just a a few places remain available at Muelle Viejo for superyachts planning to participate at the Superyacht Cup Palma from 20-23 June. Returning to defend their titlethis year is last year´striumphant winner Drumfire who will be joined by a 20 strong fleet expected in June. Also returning from last year are This is Us (43m), winner of the recent St Barths Bucket Regatta, Highland Breeze (34m), Nilaya (34m) and Scorpione dei Mari (29m). Once again, a collection of Andre Hoek designed yachts will gather for the event including Drumfire (24m), Firefly (35m), Reesle (30m) and Atalante (27m). Hoek Design have kindly sponsored the regatta again this year and will award trophies for the Hoek fleet. |

NEW LOOK EVENT VILLAGE FOR SUPERYACHT CUP PALMA
The popular dockside village in Palma will be sporting a new look this year with a new central tent and bar layout surrounded by a selection of sponsor tents. The dock village will be open every day and evening with a welcome reception on Wednesday 20 June and themed party for all participants on Thursday 21 June. In a break from tradition, Friday 22 June will be a free night for owners, guests and crew to enjoy the town of Palma and the local restaurants and bars. The traditional prizegiving gala evening with live music will take place at the Es Baluard Museum and its impressive view over the Bay of Palma. |

RCNP NEW HOST YACHT CLUB FOR SUPERYACHT CUP PALMA
In a new agreement with the Superyacht Cup, the prestigious Real Club Nautico Palma (RCNP) will be the host yacht club of event for 2012, providing the on-water management. RCNP have many years of experience of running large international regattas and their waterfront club house and facilities are very close to the SYC village. RCNP are offering all SYC yachts the opportunity to book berths in their marina prior to and following the regatta including special access to the club for owners and their guests.
